Sierra Legal sues Canadian nuclear energy

February 3, 2007

Sierra Legal, acting on behalf of a coalition of environmental, public health, church and community groups and renewable energy developers, including the Pembina Institute, filed a false advertising complaint against the Canadian Nuclear Association under the federal Competition Act for a highprofile advertising campaign that has been running for several years making similar claims. The nuclear association’s ads have stated that nuclear power is “clean,” “affordable” and “reliable.”
